Darpariaeth MAT (Mwy Abl a Thalentog)

Mae ein darpariaeth MAT (Mwy Abl a Thalentog) wedi’i chynllunio i herio ac ymestyn dysgwyr o fewn y dosbarth, gan sicrhau bod eu doniau a’u galluoedd yn cael eu meithrin yn llawn. Mae athrawon yn cynllunio’n ofalus i ddarparu cyfleoedd heriol ac ystyrlon sy’n annog meddwl dyfnach, creadigrwydd a datrys problemau. Drwy ddulliau addysgu o ansawdd uchel, rydym yn sicrhau bod dysgwyr MAT yn cael eu hymestyn yn briodol tra’n parhau i deimlo’n rhan annatod o gymuned y dosbarth.

Mae hyrwyddo annibyniaeth yn elfen allweddol o’n darpariaeth MAT. Trwy ein Wal Wella, mae dysgwyr yn cael eu hannog i osod targedau personol, myfyrio ar eu cynnydd, a chymryd cyfrifoldeb am eu dysgu eu hunain. Mae gan bob dysgwr MAT Cynllun Personol (PSP) sy’n nodi cryfderau, blaenoriaethau datblygu a strategaethau cefnogi. Mae’r cynlluniau hyn yn cael eu hadolygu’n rheolaidd, gan sicrhau bod cynnydd yn cael ei fonitro a bod cefnogaeth briodol ar waith.

Rydym yn gwerthfawrogi rôl rhieni a gofalwyr, ac yn defnyddio eu mewnbwn i adnabod sgiliau a doniau sy’n cael eu harddangos y tu allan i’r ysgol, megis mewn clybiau, chwaraeon neu weithgareddau creadigol. Mae dysgwyr MAT hefyd yn cymryd rhan mewn sesiynau meddylfryd twf, gan feithrin gwydnwch, hyder a pharodrwydd i ymgymryd â heriau newydd. Trwy gynllunio gofalus gan staff, caiff dysgwyr gyfleoedd rheolaidd i ddilyn eu diddordebau a datblygu eu galluoedd ymhellach.

More Able and Talented (MAT) Provision

Our More Able and Talented (MAT) provision is designed to challenge and extend learners within the classroom, ensuring their skills and talents are fully nurtured. Teachers plan carefully to provide stimulating and high-quality learning experiences that promote deeper thinking, creativity and problem-solving. Through effective classroom challenge, MAT learners are encouraged to excel while remaining fully included as valued members of their class community.

Promoting independence is a key aspect of our MAT provision. Through our Wal Wella, learners are supported to set personal targets, reflect on their progress and take increasing responsibility for their own learning. Every MAT learner has an individual Personal Support Plan (PSP) which outlines their strengths, development priorities and agreed support strategies. These plans are reviewed regularly to ensure progress is tracked and appropriate support is in place.

We place strong value on parental input, using this to recognise skills and talents demonstrated beyond the school setting, such as in clubs, sports or creative activities. MAT learners also have access to growth mindset sessions, helping them to develop resilience, confidence and a positive attitude towards challenge. Careful planning by staff ensures learners are given meaningful opportunities to pursue their interests and continue to develop their skills to their full potential.
